Your privacy, as a user of the App is very important to us.

1.     INTRODUCTION

a)     This Privacy Policy governs your access and use of the software application; Pro Visions Tracker hereafter the “App”.

b)    The App is a virtual display system available to mobile devices running Android OS. It uses your internet connection to allow you to check the status of your second hand books and amount due to you if the books are sold, without you having to step into our store

c)     The App is owned and operated by Croscill Investments CC, registration number CK 1997/04 3898/23, trading as Pro Visions Books, a company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (hereafter – Pro Visions).

d)    This Privacy Policy is subject to the Pro Visions Tracker App’s terms and conditions and all definitions contained in such terms and conditions shall apply equally to this Privacy Policy.

e)     By registering on or using the App, you agree to the terms and conditions set out in this Privacy Policy.

 

2.     INFORMATION COLLECTED

a)     User Provided Information

              i.        For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be  downloaded from http://www.justice.gov.za/legislation/acts/2000-002.pdf

            ii.        Pro Visions may collect, store and use the following personal information of users of this App: information necessary for our legitimate business interest and the categories of personal information identified in the PAIA. This information may include, but not limited to, the user´s date of birth and email address.

 

b)    Automatically Collected Information

This App collects the geographical location of your mobile device at the time you access the App, for validation purposes as the App is only available in South Africa.

 

3.     USE OF INFORMATION

The above mentioned information may be used for the following purposes: 

a)     To provide and improve services to you;

b)    To greet you when making any electronic communication;

c)     To inform you of any changes to these terms and conditions;

d)    To verify your identity when transacting with us;

e)     To compile non-personal statistical information about the use of the App, and

f)      We may use this information to provide marketing information to you.

 

4.     SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

a)     Personal information which is collected from you will be stored and processed in the Republic of South Africa.

b)    Personal information will not be traded, sold or leased to third parties.

c)     While we will attempt not to disclose any of your personal information to third parties, except when we have your permission, we do not guarantee that your personal information will not be shared with third parties without your permission.

d)    You agree that your personal information may be shared with (amongst others) the following parties and in the following circumstances:

              i.        Government and law enforcement agencies;

            ii.        Where the law requires that we disclose your personal information to a party;

           iii.        Where we have a reasonable belief that a disclosure of personal information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against a party who may be in breach of the terms and conditions or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

 

5.     YOUR CONSENT

a)     Please note that by submitting information via this App, you consent to the collection, collation, processing, and storing of such information and the use and disclosure of such information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.

b)    We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy together with our Terms and Conditions prior to submitting information to this App.

 

6.     AMENDMENT TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to make amendments to this Privacy Policy at any time with notice to you, by sending you an email or written letter and by posting any such amendments on the Pro Visions web site (www.provisions.co.za)

 

7.     OPT-OUT OPTION

You can stop all collection of information by the App easily by uninstalling it from your device.

 

8.     Data Retention Policy

a)     We will retain User Provided Information for as long as you use the App and for a reasonable time thereafter.

b)    We will retain Automatically Collected Information for up to 6 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate.

c)     If you would like us to delete User Provided Information that you have provided via the App, please contact us at support@provisions.co.za and we will respond in a reasonable time.

d)    Please note that some or all of the User Provided Information may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

9.     INDEMNITY

Please note; all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure the integrity, security and confidentiality of your personal information. However, while we exercise great care in providing secure transmission of your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted via the internet to or from this App and you accordingly agree that you transmit such information at your own risk and as such, we accept no liability for any losses resulting thereof.
